Development Forum and meeting key groups
In addition to the public exhibition, we set up a Development Forum of 18 local people, including staff, patients, the public and representatives of key groups. The forum has enabled us to get more detailed feedback and opinions and to find out the reasons why people like or dislike certain aspects of the proposals.
On 26 August 2009, the Development Forum met the three bidders and heard them present their visions for the new hospital. Once the bidders had left, forum members discussed each of the proposals and gave us their feedback and further suggestions.
We also met key groups and opinion formers throughout the process, including Trafford LINk (Local Involvement Network), Trafford Council’s Health Overview & Scrutiny Committee and the Altrincham & Bowdon Civic Society.
